Perfect House Guest

Ladybird was a house guest for a week at a home that has another, much younger, male dog that she never met before. After the initial adjustment of a strange place and dog, Lady fitted in beautifully.
Curled up on the couch and enjoyed the company of a little one.

For evening entertainment, she serenaded everyone with a song.

and after her performance, took a nap.

This is what was said about her stay."She was very good for her stay. She has settled in and is starting let her hair down and pep up a bit. At first, all she wanted to do was be a clinger on and sleep. She can be a food mooch however. We are still trying to strategize where to put the cat food. She figured out last night that if she wants to check what’s on the dining room table, the old pull the table cloth off trick is effective. She and Ox have been playing inside and outside. They play tug of war with the toys and they chase up and down the stairs. Not all day, but just in spurts. She is still the dominant one and when she does growl, Oxford submits. We played with the feather cat toys for a while and that was fun for them both to play hunter. She welcomed back any time. She was the perfect LADY!"

Foster Home Update October

Lady (aka Ladybird) likes to do other things besides just hunt. She enjoys hanging w/ the other dogs and maybe couch time w/ the cats? She has the run of the house and can be left alone when her foster family is at work and school without incident. She loves to play with her doggie playmates and settles down on the sofa with her 2 kitty friends, as well! She also loves her human family and comes over to cuddle on the couch or sit real close to get scratched behind the ears. Ladybird LOVES walks and play time and shadow's mom while she cooks or cleans or just works on the computer. Lots of wiggles, tail wags and dancing still in this precious girl and she wants to share that with her forever family!

Over Due Update

Well, it's been way too long for me not to write and let you all know how I'm doing. Since my last update, I have been spayed, just a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say, it was really ruff and took a toll on me physically. I was put back on my meds to fight off any yucky recurrences of RMSF flair ups. Then my incision didn't want to heal and that was painful and uncomfortable. But I'm happy to say, that I am feeling much better now. Sure glad all that stuff is done with. Whew! I've been hanging around with my 2 adopted fur kids and 2 meows and we all get along great together. We've had a house guest for a couple weeks, another foster girl, and she is very bossy, but I won't let her take over my house.Well, I guess I'll just hang around and relax with my stuffy. Did I mention I really like playing with them. Anyway, I hope that the next time we meet will be in person and I'll be coming home with you. That way I can tell you all about the things I really enjoy doing and we can do them together. Come see me soon, okay?
Roo's,
Lady

A Classy Ladybird

Ladybird came into foster care over the weekend from Kentucky and she exhibits all the class one would expect with the name given her.

She likes to lay outdoors and enjoy the fresh air. We can't really know, but suspect her to be around 7-9 yrs. old with a lot of Pointer spunk.

Gotta love those ears!
